Is hot-air ballooning safe in Dubai?
Yes. All pilots hold GCAA commercial balloon licenses. Balloons undergo 50-hour inspections. Flights only operate below 10 knots wind. 1,000+ commercial flights, zero major incidents.
Best time of year to fly?
October through May. June-August is peak heat and season is paused. November-February brings the most consistent sunrise conditions.
How early is wake-up?
Pickup 3:30-4:30 AM. Lift-off at first light - around 5:30-6:00 AM in winter.
What should I wear?
Layers. Mornings sit at 15-20C in winter and warm up fast once the sun is up. Closed-toe shoes are required. A light jacket and sun hat help.
Age or weight limit?
Minimum age 5. Minimum height 120cm. Maximum weight 136kg (300lb). Pregnant guests or anyone with recent surgery should consult us before booking.
What happens in bad weather?
We only fly in verified conditions. Weather cancellation means reschedule or a 100% refund. Conditions are checked the evening before and the morning of your flight.
Can I book same-day?
Often yes. WhatsApp us - we confirm in under 15 minutes based on remaining seats. Standard and VIP typically have the highest availability.
Which hotels do you pick up from?
All Dubai city, Marina, Jumeirah, Downtown, JBR, Palm, Bur Dubai and Deira. Abu Dhabi pickup adds 1 hour and AED 200.
What is your refund policy?
72 hours before flight gets a 100% refund. 48 hours gets 80%. 24 hours gets 50%. Weather cancellation is always a 100% refund or free reschedule - conditions are checked the evening before and the morning of.
What does GCAA-licensed mean?
GCAA is the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority. Every pilot holds a GCAA commercial balloon license. Balloons pass 50-hour airworthiness inspections. It is the regulator that audits our operations.
